Send us your stories
Been out and about with one of our guides, or on an adventure inspired by one of our recent releases? Feeling inspired to write about it? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
We’re interested in the stories behind the routes climbed and the mountains explored – the adventures and ideas that go beyond the pages of our books. If you have an idea for an essay, we’d love you to pitch it to us.
We’re looking for pieces between 500–1000 words in length, ideally accompanied by a photo or two. To get started, just send us a short outline including the area covered and the book that led you there.
You don’t need to have been published before, but including a sample of previous writing will help. If your idea is selected, we’ll ask you to submit the full piece. Once received, your essay will be published on our website, and shared in our newsletter and across our social media channels. As a thank you, we’ll send you a free book of your choice.
Email your ideas to pr@scottishmountaineeringpress.com
