Soundscapes: Eclipse by Alexander Limarev | post-asemic visual poetry, mixed media, digital manipulations | Siberia | 2024

In the mystical soundscape of the mountains, where stone, air, water and light merge into a magical symphony, the mental senses are heightened to the extreme. Sounds like resonating chords create an acoustic texture in which each rock becomes a percussion instrument and the wind a mysterious conductor directing an invisible orchestra. Light penetrating through the clouds creates harsh chromatic gradients, shaping not only the surrounding landscape but also deep inner feelings of the observer. In this space, just like in an emotional context where all elements are consonant, synesthesia emerges, allowing the viewer not only to see and hear, but also to sense, ‘appropriating’ a unique artistic experience imbued with the spirit of mountain magic.

Theses insights and sensations find their embodiment in this artwork with the help of the following media and techniques: primed cardboard, graphite pencil, acrylic, art sauce, pastel, paraffin, matte acrylic varnish, tamping with a dry brush, scratching.
