Phoebe Sleath

Phoebe is a Geology PhD student and artist living in Aberdeen, studying the biases that geologists bring to documenting faults in mountain building areas. After moving to Scotland in 2020, she started to take her sketchbook and watercolour palette to the hills and crags to paint the landscape quickly and expressively in between climbing, walking and biking adventures. She also likes to explore the relationship between people and landscape, combining focused gouache adventurers with expressive watercolour landscapes.
