Erin Rizzato Devlin is a poet, writer, climber, independent researcher living and writing between the Italian Po Valley and the Scottish central lowlands. By merging her Celtic and Mediterranean heritage, she explores the connections to her lands and languages. She has recently been affiliated to the departments of Philosophy and Politics at the University of Glasgow and Stockholm University, with a deep interest in the fields of Environmental Ethics, Ecology, Human Geography and Energy Politics. As a committed climber, academic and creative, nature is her biggest source of inspiration. She is also the mind behind Càrna, a project where, together with her sister, they seek to combine art and ethics. Their works have been featured or commissioned by local bodies such as the John Byres Award and SCAAN.
