Charlotte Luke

Charlotte is based in Inverness, and recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in English Language and Literature. Her writing career began with the Scottish Book Trust’s Young Writers’ Award in 2014, followed by Moniack Mhor’s Highland Young Writers’ Award in 2016. Since then, her work has appeared in the Highland Literary Salon’s short story collection Highland Lights (2018), and US-based The Nature of Cities’ flash fiction anthology, Stories of the Nature of Cities, Vol. 2 (2021). She has also written articles for Earth.org, an organisation dedicated to transparent journalism about the climate crisis, and a book review for Northwords Now. She is one of thirty writers taking part in #Deathwrites, an RSE-funded project aiming to create meaningful literature about death, dying and bereavement. Inky Peak Magazine, a new creative writing magazine for young people in Scotland, was founded by Charlotte and her partner.
